FROM STRANGERS TO ROOMMATES

Cupcake, a flap-shelled turtle, and Homer, a yellow-spotted river turtle, are both non-native to Singapore. Smuggled from abroad, they each settled in illegal pets living in separate water tanks they once called home. Cupcake and Homer are now roommates at the ACRES Wildlife Rescue Centre.
