In a calm morning, the sound of crying puppies was too loud, that one would not able to miss it. The sound came from the garbage area.

A few yards away, a mother dog was found motionlessly on the busy road. We believed that the mother dog was searching for food after being dumped by her owner.

We pulled the mother to the roadside, and put her litter together with her. Little did the newly born puppies know that that was the last ounce of milk from their mother. Neither do they know that their mother is dead.

Run freely now at Rainbow’s Bridge, Mother Dog and her 6 puppies.

It was such a devastating episode to watch on Sunday morning, and putting into words made it even harder.
