Iberian Lynx Family Video

WWF-Spain partners have captured some wonderful camera tramp footage of two Iberian Lynx cubs and their mother.

They were born in the wild in Montes de Toledo, in the Spanish region of Castilla-La Mancha – one of the areas where this endangered cat has been reintroduced thanks to the efforts of LIFE+ Iberlince project, of which WWF-Spain is a partner.

In the early 20th century, the Iberian Lynx was widespread in central and southern Spain and Portugal. It declined steadily and, in 2002, it was found that less than 100 animals survived in the wild. The Iberian lynx was then declared the “most endangered cat in the world.”
