Today is the celebration of light that triumphs over darkness.

This time of year will mark a joyous milestone that will reunite 50 Indian star tortoises with their homeland in India. Surya, Perumal, Big Momma and friends celebrated their last festive treat here at the #AcresWildlifeRescueCentre, an emotional and heartwarming sight, knowing their freedom that we all have been fighting for the past nine years will soon be realised.

To everyone celebrating Diwali, may your hearts be full, like ours as we hope for the best for these star tortoises. And for those whose family may not be close, may they be etched in your hearts that is filled with peace and happiness.
