Today We Mourn The Loss Of Chaos At Our Clinic. We..

Today we mourn the loss of Chaos at our clinic. We as a team are all absolutely devastated and our hearts go out to his family. He went downhill from Monday and a repeat exploratory laparotomy today revealed a rare complication with a blood clot forming in the main vessel that feeds his guts and we couldn’t repair the damage. We are going to do further investigation to figure out why all this happened. It doesn’t make this huge loss any easier to swallow. Thank you for your big kisses this morning even though you were feeling terrible. RIP beautiful boy. 😪😪😪 #puppyeuthanasia #exploratorylaparotomy #acutemesentericischemia

‘Chaos’ lives up to his name. He got very sick last week with vomiting and lack of eating. X-rays of his abdomen made us very suspicious of a foreign body especially given he didn’t respond to supportive care with intravenous fluid therapy. Abdominal surgery confirmed he’d ingested a corn cob that led to an intestinal obstruction. Lovely seeing him so happy and eating well 3 days after his surgery. 💙💙💙 #vetcheck #caninepostoperativecheck #canineforeignbody #canineexploratorylaparotomy #pitbull #pitbullpuppy

Rayya The Vet

I was born overseas and grew up in Lebanon. About 9 years ago, I left my family and friends behind to pursue my dream of becoming a veterinarian in Australia.

I have now been out in practice for the past 5 years. I absolutely love being involved with all types of animals and consider it my "calling". Whilst my job can be quite an emotional rollercoaster ride, I cannot fathom doing anything else for as long as I am living. I simply feel blessed every day that I am practicing what I truly love.
