Welcome to Rajang-Belawai-Paloh delta which houses the largest mangrove complex in Sarawak! The delta accounts for an estimated 58% of total mangroves in the state and about 10,000ha are protected in the Rajang Mangroves National Park.
Mangrove areas are important wetlands because they function as nurseries and refuge for marine organism including the near-shore fisheries of the region, as well as protecting the coastal line and regulating global climate.
Mangrove store 50x more carbon than tropical forests.Restore, use wisely and conserve our mangroves. We are not powerless against climate change. Wetlands are a natural solution. Stop draining wetlands.
