Meet Girisha. She was found dumped in the jungle, her tiny body caught in suffocating vines. They were wrapped so tightly around one of her legs that they had cut off the circulation. Abandoned and all alone, she would have passed away in the most agonising way imaginable. Instead, thanks to people like you, and the kind Samaritan who found her, she was able to get the emergency help she needed.

The wound on what remained of Girisha’s leg was horrendously infected and infested with maggots. It was surrounded by dead and rotting tissue causing her immense pain. The only way to save her life was to remove the remaining part of her leg. Thankfully, after receiving the treatment and medication necessary, she is now safe and has made a remarkable recovery.

This little girl has had the worst start in life but has beaten the odds. She is now being fostered by a Soi Dog staff member and receiving the round-the-clock food and care she needs. Can you please help us find her a home of her own to thrive in? Email adoptions@soidog.org to offer her a home. Please mention your country of residence in your email.

She has shown nothing but bravery and resilience; she deserves a family who will love and protect her for the rest of her days.
