Zurik’s Blunt Teeth And Still More On FIP

Zurik has “blunt” teeth.  You’d think that is less dangerous, but it isn’t necessarily so. He can inflict blunt force trauma on me when I feed him his medicines!

But I suppose blunt force trauma is less painful than sharp teeth injury!! There is less likelihood of puncture wounds which warrant a tetanus shot!

It was a good reminder for me to read from the catvirus.com page that raw meat is good for FIP cats. So I will offer Zurik some raw meat at the start of his meals.

Today, he has had two raw meals. But he still loves his kibble.

Here’s Heidi and Zurik eating raw chicken fillet. The Cow Clan are all on Cubgrub as their staple except for Bunny because he vomited the other day, so Bunny is on cooked meat. Ginger is still on his dim sum meals while Tabs takes Cubgrub or Primal, depending on her mood. Heidi refuses to eat Cubgrub but at least she is willing to eat raw chicken fillet with Zurik. Ginger also eats raw chicken fillet.  So, at least everyone has some raw food every day.

I know I have probably been overloading everyone with FIP information. Very sorry for that. There’s just quite a lot of information and kind advice out there from reliable sources, so I thought I’d just share. However, please do consult your veterinarian for the most appropriate treatment for your cat.

Based on the above, I suppose it is back to Prednisolone (steroids) and good nutrition, both of which I am already doing for Zurik.
