[WILDLIFE RESCUE VOLUNTEER RECRUITMENT]

Our 24-hour wildlife rescue team comes across many cases of red-eared sliders who have been run over by vehicles or attacked by other animals as a result of being abandoned or released. In this case, this turtle, entangled in line, was found in a pond at Nanyang Technological University.

It is illegal to release red-eared sliders in Singapore, but more importantly, it is extremely cruel to leave an animal in an unfamiliar environment where they may also serve as a threat to Singapore’s native wildlife.

As a wildlife rescue volunteer, you will learn about the animals you often feared or commonly seen without a second thought to their role in our environment, or quality of existence. And to fulfil the role of an ACRES Wildlife Rescue Volunteer, you will be trained on how to provide sound advice to concerned members of public and respond to cases of wild animals in distress.

Time: 10.00am – 5.00pm

Programme fee: SGD $50.00 (payment must be made prior to training day

(Volunteers must be 21 years and above)
