Photos From Soi Dog Foundation’s Post

Langland, now known as Benny, arrived at our shelter in November 2017 in a poor state. He was blind, suffering from vestibular syndrome and weighed only 1.5 kilograms. No one knows where he came from or how he ended up on the streets, all we know is that he would not have survived much longer. As you can imagine, he was terrified and alone. It took months of TLC to encourage him out of his shell. Nearly one year later, Benny made the long journey to the USA. Thanks to Motley Zoo Animal Rescue, he has finally found his #fureverhome and is living out the #furrytailending he deserves. His adopters love him dearly and could not imagine life without him.

“He’s become a delightful fixture in our home as the source of many laughs and snuggles. Although Benny is blind, it seldomly slows him down. We were amazed at how quickly he “mapped” our home and now runs freely through the rooms. People are curious about what it’s like to own a blind dog and are often surprised to learn how little it truly seems to impact him on a daily basis.

Being blind and only 4.5lbs, we have so many questions about how it is he survived before Soi Dog. We know for sure, of course, that he would not have survived long without the care and love you gave him. We are forever grateful for Soi Dog and organisations like yours around the world. Sincerely moved by all you do.”

Soi Dog Foundation is a not-for-profit, legally registered charitable organization in Thailand, the United States, Australia, the UK, France and Holland. Soi Dog helps the homeless, neglected and abused dogs and cats of Thailand. Our aim is to set an example for the Asian region on how to humanely reduce the number of unwanted dogs and cats through spaying and neutering, and to better the lives and living conditions of the stray dogs and feral cats of Asia.

De-sexing (Sterilization) has been proven to be the most effective way to help the animals. Soi Dog has has reached a milestone of over 39,000 dogs and cats sterilized! Totaling 39,050 dogs and cats as of June 2012. Soi Dog is made up of people like yourself, be they financial supporters, field or shelter volunteers, fundraisers etc. with a common goal of helping neglected and abused dogs & cats.
