URGENT – THOUSANDS OF HUNGRY DOGS AND CATS STRANDED BY FLOODING NEED YOU NOW!

Soi Dog Foundation has just received an urgent cry for help from the Thai province of Ubon Ratchathani, about 600 kms from the capital, Bangkok. The area is experiencing the worst flooding it’s seen in almost two decades.

And so we must turn to you, our wonderful supporters. Will you help now? https://bit.ly/Save_Stranded_Animals_From_Starving.

We have 10 tonnes of dog food and nearly a ton of cat food on the way from Bangkok, but more will be needed just to feed the more than 1,000 animals being temporarily held at temples and other refuges from the flood waters. Please help us make sure these traumatised animals don’t go hungry. https://bit.ly/Save_Stranded_Animals_From_Starving.

Our Thai coordinator has just flown out to meet with Livestock officials and assess what other help might be needed. A veterinary and animal rescue team are on standby.

We are also aware of more than 300 stray dogs living in a jungle who are currently cut off from help by the extensive flooding, brought about by the Moon River bursting its banks following days of torrential rains.

Those poor animals are holding out on higher ground, but the Livestock Department have told us it is currently impossible for them to reach them to provide food and medical care, as they have no suitable boat available.

We desperately need your help now to raise funds to hire or buy a suitable motorboat to reach these gravely endangered dogs and cats. Please help us help them. https://bit.ly/Save_Stranded_Animals_From_Starving

Once the food we’ve dispatched arrives in Ubon, we are totally reliant on our supporters’ help to get it to the animals in the cut-off area. Please help the animals now. https://bit.ly/Save_Stranded_Animals_From_Starving

These frightened, hungry, stranded animals could starve if we cannot reach them soon enough.

Thousands of families have been displaced by this extensive flooding and are surviving in shelters. Most escaped their homes with only their lives and the clothes on their backs – and heartbreakingly, without the precious pets they were forced to leave behind.

Please help now. It means everything to the more than 1,000 animals whose lives are on the line. These are people’s beloved pets, and also strays our supporters have always come through for in the past, time after time. Will you please do so once more, now? https://bit.ly/Save_Stranded_Animals_From_Starving

Thank you.
