Belawai Beach Cleanup

Belawai is habitat to Irrawaddy dolphins, hence it is important to keep rubbish at bay.

On July 29, the Pandas from Sarawak Conservation Programme teamed up with 60 people to pick up rubbish that are washed ashore along Belawai beach, and littered by public and visitors.

For just a stretch of about 500m, they collected 419.70kg of rubbish – mainly plastics.

The International Coastal Cleanup driven by Reef Check Malaysia is just three days away, let’s join communities around the globe to keep our rivers and seas clean.
