Last Week Sydney, An Animal Physiotherapist And Ra..

Last week Sydney, an animal physiotherapist and Raven, a groomer from Paws Rehab came from KL (with their laser and EMS machine in tow) to help us with our dear disabled Louise.

Louise has a number of issues relating to her neck and spine which mean she cannot move much anymore, let alone walk anywhere. With Sydney’s physiotherapy consultation, guidance and training, our volunteers are now able to do both hydrotherapy and physiotherapy exercises / massages for Louise.

The improvement in her condition over the last few days has been astonishing! She is wagging her tail, supporting her own head and looking around being a busybody, eating and drinking standing up (supported). The twinkle is back in her eye and today she had a smile on her face ☺

Next week we can get into our little pool to have a swim with Louise. We hope this time, after all the physio exercises done on her, she will enjoy her swim.

Thank you so much Sydney and Raven, and of course our volunteers! We are so happy that her quality of life is improving every day ❤ She is the most spoilt dog at the moment though she deserves it in every way…

The Langkawi Animal Shelter and Sanctuary Foundation is set-up to receive, rehabilitate and care for neglected, abused and needy animals. The organization also runs the Langkawi Island Animal Clinic - a charity project aimed at the sterilization of the stray cat & dog population. Both are non profit ventures, staffed partly by volunteers and aimed at improving the lives of unwanted animals.
