好几位爱心朋友私讯我们，担心现在警察是直接抓人，带生病的宠物、浪浪看医生究竟是不是违反管制令的呢?

答案是 #不是违法的噢!

从管制一开始，兽医诊所就属于必要性服务，被批准营业，但操作和平时有些不同

兽医局规定，兽医诊所只能从早上10am开到傍晚6pm, 您也需要向诊所提前预约 (请致电您家附近的诊所确认营业时间，有些诊所会更早关店)

非常时期，只接受生病、紧急或需复诊的动物，而买药或购买宠物粮食都是不犯法的

如担心的话，可向诊所索取证明信 (通过电邮/Whatsapp方式寄出)，证明你已在该诊所做了预约，过路障的时候可以给警察看

为控制诊所内的人流，诊所里都需保持社交距离，如过多人需要在诊所外等候

请戴上口罩出外，消毒液也应随身携带噢 ~

任何时候，请勿弃养或忽视宠物的生活需求而造成它们的痛苦，生病了就要及时带看医生，否则是触犯动物法令的 🙏

Several netizens have privately messaged us, worrying that the police are now directly arresting people if violating MCO, is it alright to send a sick pet or animal to the veterinary clinic?

The answer is YES.

Need to see the vet during the MCO? Here’s what you need to know

There are several new rules in place, so before you go to the vet, be sure you’re up to date on protocol.

Clinics are only allowed to operate from 10am to 6pm and you must make an appointment.

Also, you can’t just pop in for a routine checkup. MCO rules mean it must be an emergency, or an ongoing case, or your pet must be sick. So please, don’t pop in because you want the vet to look at your seemingly healthy new kitten.

However, you can pick up medicine and if you want to buy pet food, you can also do that but you must do so by appointment.

Clinics have to practise social distancing. Be aware that some clinics have space for two or three people and others will ask you to wait outside.

Please bring hand sanitiser if you have it, because some clinics will have run out. And if you have a mask, wear it.

If you’re still worried, you can request a letter of proof from the clinic (send by email or Whatsapp) that you have made an appointment at the clinic. You can show it to the police when crossing the roadblock.

PETS ARE FAMILY TOO. No matter under what circumstances, please do not abandon or ignore your pet’s needs and cause their suffering, because this is a violation of animal laws.
