Its Videogameday. Tic Tac Toe And Spacewar Were So..

It’s #videogameday 😻🎮

Tic tac toe and Spacewar were some of the first digital video games created but, when it comes to our cats, touching their own toe beans and wars with critters are some of the games they’ve played since time memorial. Despite, the lack of opposable thumbs, our felines are next in line to win the video game championships.

On this made up holiday whose origins are uncertain, we decided to take the opportunity nonetheless to provide some enrichment for our shelter kitties via videos made for cats. (You may also find this video enriching)

Our cats do not have state of the art video equipment but, we thought of helping them celebrate the day with some videos to get their senses humming.

The kitties had such a good time but, as expected, they all moaned and strutted off in a huff and a puff when we stopped at the allocated screen time. Typical.

Video games for cats have shown to be an enriching activity especially for shelter cats and those that are full time indoor cats. But it is also important that we allocate 10-15 minutes at least once a day to play and be present with our pet cats, especially if they are strictly indoors.

Cats are made for hunting so it is important that they have a healthy outlet for letting their energy out with appropriate interactive play sessions with you, another cat or by themselves with the use of puzzle toys.

Enjoy this #videogameday with your kitty cat or a shelter cat who needs some extra attention. Please visit our website to find out how to adopt a soi cat: https://links.soidog.org/adopt-dont-shop-soicat
