High-Rise Syndrome Hrs. Did You Know That The Spca..

HIGH-RISE SYNDROME (HRS)

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Did you know that the SPCA receives at least 250 reports a year of cats falling from height? That’s 5 cases a week!

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

House cats can be distracted by birds, lose balance on a window sill, sneak into neighbours’ homes, or even leap out of the window due to loud thunder/vacuum sounds.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

And such accidents can be easily prevented. That’s why we ask cat adopters to mesh their windows and gates. Likewise, we strongly urge all existing or future cat owners to do the same.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

By providing enrichment items such as scratching posts and other essentials, cats can live very happy and healthy lives at home.
