Happy Tales Daisy. Christy Lee I Was Heartbroken W..

HAPPY TALES: DAISY

Christy & Lee: “I was heartbroken when Duke (also adopted from SPCA) passed away due to old age in April 2019. After half a year, we decided to adopt another dog. When we first saw Daisy, she was tiny, timid and easily spooked. But I thought that with our experience and my therapy dog, Dobby, we could offer her a loving home.

When we brought Daisy home, she immediately ran from us and hid under our bushy bamboo. It took us 3 days to pat her and for the first 1-2 weeks we had to tiptoe and whisper around her as she was afraid of loud sounds and sudden movements.

Over time, she came out of her shell and is now very clingy! She loves dry leaves and small stones; we often find many of those on her bed. She also enjoys playing tug of war and demands cuddles by ‘punching’ us with her front paws. Her ‘punches’ remind me to take breaks from work and to give her pats.

I am used to having dogs around so having one is not a challenge. Both of us work full-time but Daisy has Dobby for company and lots of toys to chew on. We definitely share much more laughter around the house with Daisy around!” 🥰
