Rescue on Demand!

We normally rescue first and post for adoption. This is a unique situation.

We received word that an office building at KL Sentral was struggling to contain the population growth of community cats in the premises. We found about 20 adult cats and several kittens there. We have neutered 14 adult cats so far.

Unlike most strays, the cats here are so very friendly. Unfortunately, the tenants at this building complex are pressuring building management to get rid of the cats and to stop them from being fed.

We want to get as many of them into good homes as possible. With less cats on the premises, the building management feels more confident that they can work with us to protect the remaining cats.

This is the first in our Rescue on Demand series of posts, dedicated to the bob tailed cats.

1. Popsy: Popsy is still a kitten, about 7 months old. She is super manja, constantly sidling up to other cats and rubbing herself against them. She loves twining around our legs and rubbing her cheek against us to thank us for food. She has a teenie bob tail and a gorgeous orange tabby coat.

2. Fifie: Fifie is way too trusting to be a stray. Some measure of mistrust of humans is a good thing for a community cat. We worry for her because she lavishes her live so generously. She has the teeniest stump of a tail. She is a gray/brown tabby with large, soulful eyes. We estimate she is about 2 years old.

3. Taffy: Taffy is also a orange cat. He seems less than a year old. He is Popsy’s best friend. He is a trusting, affectionate cat with the most innocent, loving, pretty face. He is very thin, but experience tells us this boy will be even more handsome if well fed.

4. Binky: Binky took a while longer than the rest to trust us but is making up for lost time by insisting on the giant share of cuddles before letting us go when we visit. Binky is a gorgeous gray/silver tabby with striking dark/light contrast in her coat colors. We suspect about 7 months old and a litter-mate to Popsy.
