The way we produce, consume and ultimately waste food has been identified as the single biggest threat to nature globally. We need to put an end to wasting the natural resources, e.g. water and land, that are needed to produce our food. We need to prevent food waste where possible.

According to @swcorpMY, food waste in Malaysia amounts to more than 16,000 tonnes on a daily basis. This represents almost half of all solid waste generated in Malaysia on a daily basis. When sent to landfills, it rots and releases very potent GHG emissions.
