Update 3 Oct 2020. Rip Alpha, Fierce Oren Warrior ..

Today, a person who feeds community cats at KL Sentral with one of our members, found a very sick and barely responsive cat.

The cat is Alpha. He is an orange tabby. He is fierce and has not trusted his feeders despite their attempts since the last 4 years. We helped to trap and neuter the surrounding cats but we could never trap Alpha. The first photo is Alpha, a few weeks ago.

The feeder reached out for help. From her descriptions, we knew Alpha needed to be taken to a vet as soon as possible.

We asked her to check if Alpha would let her touch him. He had no energy to fight. We arranged a grab ride to fetch them to our panel vet.

Alpha is now in our vet’s care. The vet tells us he is a senior cat and may have fallen into a drain. His body temperature is very low and he has chronic kidney disease. His white cell count is high, indicating a severe infection. He is in an incubator to raise his body temperature.

We have our fingers crossed that Alpha recovers.

We wish we could help every person that calls us to rescue an animal. We only have the resources to rescue those that we encounter.
