SOS SOS SOS. RECENTLYwe rescued a mother with ruptured mammary glands who had been lying in the same spot for days. Unfortunately she died on the way to the vet. On the first day we found seven of her pups and brought them back. Two days later we were informed that there were three more. Those puppies came to us as well. Given that their mother was in poor health when she littered and pups and could not feed them well due to her tumour riddled breasts, the puppies were weak. Today one of them appeared ill and when took the pup to the vet, it tested positive for distemper.😱 Distemper is a deadly and contagious disese but can be healed when treated promptly. We rushed the puppy to Wawasan Veterinary Clinic where it was given the necessary injections and meds for distemper. All are being quarantined but we need to jab the remaining nine as well and get them the meds. Our volunteer, who brought the pup there, was charged RM290. We now desperately need RM290 × 9 to save the puppies’ lives. We have to do it tommorow itself as the longer we wait, the more fatal it will be. Please help us help the motherless puppies. Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better is a canine welfare programme initiated by non-profit organisation Community Development and Integration Initiative (CDII).

MDDB's main activities revolve around rescuing dogs from the local council pounds as well as off the streets. Once they have been rescued, the dogs are vaccinated and neutered before being put up for adoption.
