CMCO后新山的访客和领养人都没办法再跨县来园区了 … 很感恩不少热心朋友们都很关心园区的近况

虽然今年三月后都没再办开放日

但园区里面的建设、清理、运作、照护工作

每一天都依然严谨的进行着

我们很希望可以让园区无论是硬体、软体上都能尽快变得更完善

让每一个来到这个大家庭的流浪孩子

在这里除了只是有口饭吃

还能住的舒适、有一定的生活品质

安心健康的等着属于自己的缘分

等着好心人来把它们带回家

兽医依然每月定时进园区为毛小孩打预防针

最近还有善心美容师们进来帮狗狗们义务剃毛、美容 😍 (真的非常谢谢 🙏 )

今年内我们也增设了两间猫咪房间、特殊狗区 (建设中)、及一间新的义卖房 (旧的义卖房则作为办公空间处理文书工作)

最近也为狗区大扫除了一番，

统统洗刷一轮生了青苔的大小水桶

把卡在沟渠的狗毛统统清干净

真的辛苦了天天从早上七点开始

就忙到晚上日落的园区工友们

不曾进来做过浪浪义工的朋友

真的难以体会到收容所里头的日常工作

究竟有多繁重、多琐碎、多累人 ….

尤其是塞满了整3000多只毛孩的护生园 😔

希望CMCO赶快结束、疫情受控

让一切重回正轨 🙏

因管制的关系，领养率和捐款也大幅减少了

让我们倍感压力

虽然目前大家没办法过来，但仍可通过捐款、或邮寄物资、礼物的方式来帮忙园区毛毛们噢

After CMCO, visitors and adopters from JB area can no longer come to our shelter as cross-district travel is not allowed … We’re grateful that many kind friends are concerned about the current situation of the shelter furkids.

Although there is no open day after March this year, but the construction, cleaning, operation, and daily caring works in the shelter is still going on rigorously.

We very much hope that the shelter can be improved as much as possible everyday to let every stray furkids who join in this big family, apart from just having food here, they can live comfortably and have a certain quality of life.

Waiting for their hooman family to come and take them home with peace of mind and good health here.

Veterinarians still enter the shelter regularly every month to vaccinate the furkids.

Recently, a few kind pet groomers have come in to help our rescued dogs to shave and groom voluntarily also, thank you so much!

This year, we also added two new cat rooms, a zone for special needs dog (under construction), and a new room for doing charity sales.

We also had a thorough dog zone-cleaning recently, to clean all the big and small buckets with moss and cleared all the dog fur stuck in the drain.

We coudn’t have done all this without the kind and hardworking shelter workers, who start working from morning 7am till late night, very grateful for their efforts.

Friends who never come in to be a shelter volunteer before can hardly understand how burdensome and tiring the daily shelter works are. Especially when our shelter is overcrowded with more than 3000+ furkids inside 😔

Hope that CMCO will end soon and the pandemic will be under control to get everything back on track 🙏

Due to the CMCO, the adoption rate and donations have been greatly reduced that stressing us out.

Although there is currently no way for JB friends to come here, you can still help the shelter furkids through donations, or sending food and gifts for them.

(Welcome to pm us to get our mailing address to help collect the donated items, as shelter is located inside oil palm plantation area and has no address, the courier company cannot enter)

Homeless & Orphan Pets Exist (H.O.P.E.) is a non-profit organization and no-kill shelter that aims to improve welfare of strays and abandoned pets around Johor Bahru, Malaysia.

Our four core missions are rescuing, re-homing, sterilization and increasing public awareness of pet ownership and responsibilities. Currently, we are caring for approximately 700 abandoned animals in our shelter located at Lima Kedai.
