Paws Will Reopen This Saturday 2 Jan 2021 Onwards ..

PAWS will reopen this Saturday (2 Jan 2020) onwards! In light of the consistently high number of Covid cases in many parts of Klang Valley, strict SOPs will be in place, as follows:

1. Face masks are compulsory at all times inside the shelter. Forehead temperature will be taken at the point of entry followed by hand sanitisation and MySejahtera check-in.

2. To observe physical distancing and to discourage crowds at the shelter, only a maximum of three (3) parties will be allowed in the shelter at any one time.

- For pet adoption: max two (2) persons per party

- For animal surrenders: one (1) person per party only

3. To reduce the build-up of people queuing outside the shelter, each party is only allocated a maximum of thirty (30) minutes in the shelter. Parties are encouraged to accomplish their objectives swiftly in order to avoid crowding and to smoothen the flow for fellow visitors.

4. PAWS reserves the right to refuse entry to and/or expel visitors found flouting the SOP. Please be mindful of the safety of yourself and everyone around you.

PAWS

PAWS was founded in 1987 by a small group of local and expatriate volunteers. Through their generosity and imagination, PAWS was constructed on a patch of land owned by Sime Plantations on the Subang Airport Road. This distinct group of sheds and a courtyard still stands today and currently homes around 400 cats and dogs.

The staff that work at PAWS include one veterinary surgeon and a number of full-time personnel. The organisation depends entirely on the generosity of the public through donations or proceeds from charitable events organized and run by volunteers.
