MAGGOT INFESTED TAIL

[WARNING: SENSITIVE IMAGE]

Found wandering around Jurong West Central, a feeder contacted SPCA as this boi (Hisoka) was not one of the community cats from around the estate. During his medical check at our #SPCASingapore clinic, under Hisoka’s severely matted coat, we found a rotting tail with maggots and mold! [Warning: Video not for faint hearted - squirmy things entails]. Surgery was done to amputate the rotten tail, and his bum has since healed to a cute stub! He has since found his #fureverfamily.

Left unclaimed under Lost and Found, Hisoka was a suspected abandoned case. A pet is for life. Many have learnt to rely on humans, and don’t know how to survive without help. Should you find yourself unable to care for your pet, the SPCA recommends you first reach out to family and friends for help. You could post an adoption notice on social media and forums, or other welfare groups. Try not to give up on the process of finding the animal a good home, as doing so may take some time.

Help us help other animals like Hisoka and give them a second chance of a forever home: http://bit.ly/appeal2021 💙
