🐕 *ANIMAL RIGHTS CHARITY RUN 2021* 🐈

A charity run in conjunction with World Animal Rights Day, which is celebrated on the 10th of December every year, will be organized by the Melati College Representative Committee Session 2021/2022 in collaboration with PAWS Animal Welfare Society and KDS Apparel.

This program will be run virtually and physically.

🚛 Delivery of Running Kit

*7 – 17 December 2021*

📆 Running period;

*Virtual: 18 – 30 December 2021*

(Open to public)

*Physical: 18 December 2021*

(Open to students in UiTM Shah Alam campus only)

📧E- certificate:

*31 December 2021*

🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♂️ Running Distance: Only 5 kilometres. Participants can run at their own pace until they complete 5km.

📌 Registration fee:

*RM50 (West Malaysia)*

*RM55 (Sabah & Sarawak)*

With each registration, each participant will receive a set of running kit consisting of;

1) Running Jersey 👕

2) Medal 🏅

3) E- bib

4) E- certificate

Profits from the purchase of running kits will be donated to PAWS Animal Welfare Society, a non-profit animal shelter based in Petaling Jaya that has been in operation since 1987.

PAWS

PAWS was founded in 1987 by a small group of local and expatriate volunteers. Through their generosity and imagination, PAWS was constructed on a patch of land owned by Sime Plantations on the Subang Airport Road. This distinct group of sheds and a courtyard still stands today and currently homes around 400 cats and dogs.

The staff that work at PAWS include one veterinary surgeon and a number of full-time personnel. The organisation depends entirely on the generosity of the public through donations or proceeds from charitable events organized and run by volunteers.
