Did you know that plastics are the most well-known type of marine garbage?

They can emerge out of an assortment of land and sea based sources, enter the water in numerous ways, and affect the sea and lakes. Once in the water, plastic flotsam and jetsam (marine debris) never completely biodegrades.

Did you also know that approximately 13 million metric tonnes of plastics flow into the ocean each year? That is equivalent to dumping the contents of one garbage truck into the ocean every minute, according to UN Environment.

A plastic bag can look a lot like jelly fish, or other prey, to the marine mammals that hunt them.

Marine animals and sea birds can get caught in plastic wastes or ingest plastic wastes, leading to their chocking, starvation, and drowning.

Go green, plastic is obscene!
