"Last night 18 cats (9 female and 9 male) were sterilized," Danica writes. "This morning everyone's eating and sleeping. I slept on the floor and hugged them all."
Danica's kibble bill for a month is 300 Euros and thanks to o...

ONE MAN'S MISSION TO FEED 400 DOGS
More at http://harmonyfund.org/donation/sashas-shelter.htm l
Sasha Pejčić cares for 400 dogs at his breathtaking animal shelter in Serbia. The dogs eat, play, run and sleep together peacefully. Most have been taken off of the streets and nursed back to health (also spayed and neutered) and now live in a large pack in a disused riding school. At night they sleep in stables in groups of about 15. However funding has suddenly slowed to a trickle. The Austrian or...

AMERICAN DIPLOMAT SAVES DOGS ALONG CONGO RIVER
Written by Tracy Whittington
Six years ago, while serving as a U.S. diplomat in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo, I spotted a small, giant-eared, timid dog hiding in the tall grass next to the Congo River. When I walked by each day, there she would be, looking and acting like a miniature deer with her wide eyes and darting movements. Even from a distance, I could see she had a patch of grey skin where there should have been fur, and she was...

Chris Hoar of Pet Pardons writes, "Helping animals doesn't have to be hard & it doesn't even have to cost a penny. It can be as simple as putting out a fresh bowl of water each morning so the little winged ones can have a drink and clean their wings. This bowl is very popular at the Hoar House, at least 100 birds a day stop by for a visit, up to 200 on holiday weekends, tourists i presume."

The lady’s husband was a taxi driver who frequented that area and often saw Ah Girl in the same spot. Ordinarily, he would not have paid much attention to the dog except that he observed that Ah Girl appeared to be injured ...

More happy endings at The Great Animal Rescue http://animalrescuechase.com/rescue_showcase/rescu e_showcase.php
Daria Justyn reports: "Spring has sprung here in South Carolina and the holly bushes in front of our house are abuzz with giant bumble looking bees, gathering pollen. My son went outside to watch, and noticed one of them seemed to be entagled on some filaments of thread caught on a bush. He came back in the house, retrieved a pair of scizzors and a twezzer...

Meet Huckleberry, he's one of the cats living at a Harmony Fund sponsored barn sanctuary near our Massachusetts (USA) headquarters. While most of the cats here are feral, Huckleberry is an absolute love bug despite the fact that he spent the first 4 years of his life living outdoors without human companionship. Here you see Huckleberry exploring the outdoor area which has newly installed cat fencing (it may be hard to see because the mesh is a fine gauge) Spring is here and the cats are ready to...

ZOMBIE SAVES TIMES SQUARE CAT
More good news http://animalrescuechase.com/index.html
They say you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, but for late-night New Yorkers who recently witnessed a blood-spattered zombie chasing a black cat near Times Square, it was hard not to stop and stare.
It’s not clear exactly what prompted the cat to frantically run back and forth across 42nd street in Manhattan last Saturday night, but the frightened feline was chased out of one building after anothe...
