Our palliative care Marley had been very quiet and subdued recently. The cancer could have spread through her lungs and up to her throat as we could feel the lumps around her neck. We took her to the vet where she was given very strong pain killers for the next 10 days. She perked almost immediately after that - confirming that she was indeed in pain. We just hope the strong painkiller meds will not destroy her kidneys and liver by the time she goes. Currently, Marley will be pampered and given ...

Recently we posted about a dog with a badly injured leg – the informer had said that he will foot the veterinary bill as well as pay for the subsequent follow-ups. Our Yolo was brought home from the vet to be given a final send off. This is the first time we have lost a four-year-old dog. Yolo came to us in July 2020 as a timid and traumatised pup after witnessing her playmates being run over by a vehicle. She came with a lot of health problems.
