Vincent In The Sun 2nd Feb 2019, by AnimalCare
Here’s a photo of Vincent having some sun yesterday.
He is eating well, peeing and pooping well.
His current “nest” is still one of the corners in the upstairs family hall. After breakfast, he goes up and takes a very long nap before coming down for lunch. I think this long nap is his “restful sleep” for the day.
It’s good to see that when he sleeps, he is really resting and sleeping deeply. He doesn’t even get up when I go upstairs!
Daily subcut as u...

CLICK HERE TO SPONSOR DREAMBUN NOW! 2nd Feb 2019, by Soi Dog Foundation
Her name is Dreambun. She has been living at the Soi Dog shelter since she was found dumped on the street with her mother and siblings. She was just days old. Will you sponsor her? https://bit.ly/Yes_I_Will_Sponsor_Dreambun
Dreambun is all grown up now, but the trauma of those early days on the streets remains. She finds it difficult to trust humans and if you get too close or make her feel threatened, she may bite you. All this means that our little girl is not yet ready to be adopted.

Information On Adopting From Soi Dog Foundation 2nd Feb 2019, by Soi Dog Foundation
My name is Bangchee and I am willing to bet I could change your life!
Like many dogs here at Soi Dog, I was unfortunately involved in a road traffic accident. When I was struck by the moving vehicle, I was knocked down and my leg was shattered. It took every ounce of my strength to get myself up and to hobble out of the road. The pain was unbearable. Luckily, someone noticed I was limping and called Soi Dog for help. The vets examined me, but quickly realised that my injury was too extensive. ...

Latif is proof of what a loving home can do for a dog! Over four years ago Latif was found on the streets as an 8-week old pup without his mother. Being so small and vulnerable, someone brought him into the shelter to keep him safe.
This sweet boy waited years to find the perfect home and now he has! For a dog who was a bit shy and hesitant at the shelter, he has really shown his true colors. He even has a new best feline friend to keep him company! Thank you so much to his new family for chang...

A PET IS FOR LIFE – NOT JUST A SEASON
The festive season is a busy period for our shelter. There is usually an influx of owners who want to surrender their pets before the holidays. Over the past few months, there has been an estimated 50% increase in such requests.
During the festive season, it is easy to get caught up in the festivities and make an impulse decision to get a pet. As a result, some are not truly aware of the time and financial commitment involved when it comes to being a pet...

PARTY OF THREE
These triplets, consisting of two males and a female, were found abandoned on a road. A kind caller spotted them and immediately called us for help. Our Animal Rescue Officer brought them back to the SPCA clinic for a health check. The veterinary team decided it would be best for the kittens to be fostered first, in order to regain their strength.
We appealed to our fosterers for help and one of our regular fosterers, Pearl, decided to take the kittens in. Here is an account of ...

Neutering And Anti-Rabies Vaccination Aid For Perak (a Special Project) 1st Feb 2019, by AnimalCare
We received this extremely disturbing news yesterday: https://www.thestar.com.my/news/na tion/2019/01/31/health-ministry-wants-zero-stray-d og-policy-in-rabies-infected-areas/
We will never forget what happened up north in 2015 where thousands of innocent street animals were brutally and mercilessly massacred in cold blood, where those in power refused international help to control whatever it is that they thought they had to control, where those in power refused to listen to those with the...
