Looks like they also had a similar “Pulau Ketam” episode last time. Sometimes, it takes a tragedy for change to happen.

2 Nights Ago When We Were Out Getting Our Dinner, .. 20th Mar 2019, by TNRM Malaysia
2 nights ago when we were out getting our dinner, we passed by some shop lots in Rawang. We heard a faint meowing sound. We stopped and checked. Then there was another one but this time we were sure it was from a kitten. We followed the trail of the meowing and found this little fella. She was inside and the grill door was locked. We used a long stick and pulled her out. We took her home. She couldn’t have possibly survived on wet food thrown on the floor and some milk in a lid of a container ...

Photos From Soi Dog Foundation's Post 20th Mar 2019, by Soi Dog Foundation
My name is Breton and I’m a brave boy who suffered immensely on the streets of Thailand. I was found with a seriously injured leg and some nasty wounds on my face. I was in a world of pain when I was brought to Soi Dog’s shelter here in Phuket.
The vets worked hard to treat me, but unfortunately my injury was too far gone and my leg could not be saved. Thankfully, I’m no longer in pain and have adapted to life on three legs very well. I am fast and energetic, so if you like doggie parks ...

APPEAL FOR INFORMATION
The SPCA has seen three cases involving rubber bands tied to cats’ tails since early March 2019.
Between 5 to 17 March, a total of three cats have been found with different coloured rubber bands tied tightly to their tails. This cruel act can cause serious and permanent damage to the animal as it restricts blood flow to and from the area being bound. The three cats are currently under the care of our veterinary team. One of the cats will need to undergo surgery to have...

It’s TOO Hot!! 20th Mar 2019, by AnimalCare
Equinox is coming (tomorrow), it’s been unbelievably hot these few days leading up to the twice-in-a-year phenomenon. And the haze is back in Subang Jaya, and to top it all, we had an unexpected water cut due to a pipe burst, so we have no water as well.
Thank goodness there’s still water in the tanks.

Pisces The Malayan Water Monitor 20th Mar 2019, by Animal Concerns Research & Education Society (ACRES)
Pisces was caught in a trap that was setup in a fish farm, helping himself to an array of choice that also meant profits to the farm owners.
As Pisces struggled about his trap, scrapping his now-pink nose to find an escape route, his long muscular tail (normally used as a first line of defence) got caught around the trap spring. A tug-of-war with his own tail ensued and he got stuck fast under the hot sun.
Our wildlife rescue officers sprayed him down with the water hose, and like a thirsty f...
