Since we activated our 24-hour wildlife rescue hotline for native wild animals in 2009, the rescue calls have increased exponentially by 450%, leading to a 300% increase of wildlife rescued by ACRES.
It sure isn't easy to operate island-wide on limited funds and resources. With an average monthly expenditure of $40,000 to run the 24/7 wildlife rescue and rehabilitation efforts, we need all the help we can get.

Indy’s Subcut With Therapy Tabs

Today is Indy’s subcut day.
He is still VERY tense and I think it’s because of this that the fluids flow quite slowly despite me using the thick pink needle. Bunny is already relaxed during subcut.
Zurik had no problems. I did his first home subcut single-handedly (because I was home alone). No struggle at all. Zurik’s is “as and when necessary” (when dehydrated).
Therapy Tabs was on duty.
We’re done!!

Naughty Indy, “naughty” Zurik And More About FIP

Indy has been very naughty lately.
He has been spraying non-stop. I’m a bit puzzled how he has so much “spare” urine to spray. And each time, it is a lot. The doors, the cabinet doors, the bench – they are all targeted. Looks like my plan to not cover the bench isn’t working. It would need to be covered again or Indy will surely destroy the wood with his urine.
