Busy Morning, Big Day Today, And Zurik Eats Two Breakfasts!

Last night I was a bit worried about Mr Zurik as I am still unable to tell whether his breathing is “laboured” or not. I took a video and sent it to the vet to ask if I need to bring him in today.

Two months ago we sent six lucky dogs to their new homes in the UK and Mositoe was one of them! This sweet boy has settled into his new home better than we could have ever hoped for. Mositoe came to our shelter with his brothers. He was timid and unsure. To our disbelief, upon his arrival, he almost immediately came out of his shell. No stand-off with Ginger today, but apparently there was one with Heidi.

Waisek "嘴馋" because she's fully comitted in the concept of live to eat! When we rescued Waisek back in January she was just skins and bones. After weeks of careful rehabilitation and recovery finally she's back on her quest to fill her tummy with food!

Mr Zurik’s Breakfast And More About The FIP

Mr Zurik spent all night on the sofa. He didn’t come upstairs.
Last night, he ate at the patio. His favourite food is Monge kibble, so that’s what he got.
On a side note, Zurik has been eating Monge kibble all this while and it was only lately that I started to train him to eat wetfood (he doesn’t quite like it, though). So he has been on kibble and yet his kidney readings are fine. In fact, it is even better than our inside cats. So I do wonder, maybe food isn’t exactly ...

Feeding The Cow Clan

Indy hasn’t had his raw liver for weeks now, so I thought I’d give him a treat this morning. This is the assorted food for the Cow Clan. I know which is for whom. I’ve managed to get everyone back to eating Cubgrub now, but sometimes, they need a little variety. Bunny has a fair amount of the wet RC renal diet too. He likes it. The RC renal ingredient list has a few types of meat as the first ingredient so this provides some protein rotation for Bunny.

Mr Zurik’s Portraits

I stayed with Mr Zurik all night to help him acclimatise to the new environment of being inside the house.
I let him choose a spot where he is comfortable and he chose the sofa.
It’s good that he was able to find a spot very quickly, and he’s not hiding. He still has his confidence, but it’s a far cry from his “fierce and terrorising” days.

At only a few weeks old, Berkeley has endured more trauma than any dog should in their lifetime. A couple days ago we received a call reporting callous people in the area hitting, kicking and even putting cigarettes out on a small puppy’s body. Without any hesitation, our dog catching team raced to rescue him from this nightmare.
