This morning our #Freshwater team in #SetiuWetlands released 54 #paintedterrapins hatchlings into the river.

This freshwater #turtle species will swim to beaches to lay their eggs, but their main habitats are rivers and estuaries.

The hatchlings are only two day old, but they could crawl so quickly on land and then headed straight towards the water purely by instinct!

Like millions of other dogs across Thailand, I was born on the streets. I never knew what it was like to have a home or a human to care for me. My name is Anantara. In order to get by, each day I would try to find somewhere safe to curl up and a kind hand to throw me some food. Until one day I found myself with a life threatening wound.
