Thank You To Adeline And Pb Ooi For Generously Don.. 29th Oct 2019, by PAWS
Thank you to Adeline and PB Ooi for generously donating new canopies for the shelter! After a thunderstorm resulting in a tree branch falling on our canopy, we desperately needed a new one to protect our dogs and workers (Check out their smiles for the new canopy!) Now our resident dogs have new shades to chill under 🐶

Of Cow Grass, Serai And Indy’s Poop 29th Oct 2019, by AnimalCare
How hard is it to buy cow grass?
We could only grow cow grass in Bunny’s Garden because of the spraying by Cow, Bunny and Indy. Pearl grass died. Even with cow grass, there are many bald patches because of the spraying. So, actually, no grass can survive their spraying!
So I went to the nursery today to buy cow grass to patch up the bald patches and was told that it would have to be specially ordered. They don’t keep stock. I guess so…who would go BUY cow grass when you can ge...

“The Leg” 29th Oct 2019, by AnimalCare
I couldn’t resist it…
Siapa punya kaki ni?
Siapa lagi?
It’s the Queen’s kaki.
And it’s not like the basket is too small to fit Cleo. Even Cow can curl up and fit into it. It’s all about showing off “the leg”!

Adakah Ini Kuasa Tuhan? 29th Oct 2019, by SPCA Sarawak
Sometimes a dog howls when music is played or sung. Many people think of a dog's howl as a canine attempt to make music.
Howling is a form of communication that can indicate loneliness in an isolated dog, but typically serves other social functions. Dogs howl to assemble the 'pack' and also to reinforce the identity of the group.
The dog's howl has a sonorous, mournful sound to the human ear. However, canines participating in group howling seem to like it.
Scientific analyses suggest that ca...

Indy, It Has Been 24 Hours Now… 29th Oct 2019, by AnimalCare
It’s been 24 hours…
The last loose stools was at 8.20am yesterday.
I couldn’t believe my eyes when I woke up this morning and scrutinised the entire length of the sandpit.
No loose stools.
Pinch me, please.
That was at 5.45am. And it was still dark. I waited until it was brighter and scrutinised every inch of the sandpit again.
No loose stools.
Really???
It’s been a nightmare for me for the last two months when I would see loose stools every time I approached the ...

Photos From Soi Dog Foundation's Post 29th Oct 2019, by Soi Dog Foundation
I arrived at the Soi Dog shelter with a large, maggot-infested wound. I was just two months old and they named me Margarita. Will you help me by going to https://bit.ly/Sponsor-Margarita to sponsor my care?
Those early days on the streets were a struggle that has scarred me deeply and still today, at 6 years old, I am a very shy and nervous girl. This means that I need a lot more work before I can be adopted.
You can still help me by doing something very special. Will you visit https://bit.ly/...

Photos From Soi Dog Foundation's Post 29th Oct 2019, by Soi Dog Foundation
Remember me, Fiona? I was hit by a car about two months ago. Things looked pretty bad for me at first, but I have been improving by leaps and bounds! It’s all because of animal lovers like you who support Soi Dog Foundation.
Will you please give to them now? https://bit.ly/SaveHomelessPups They help dogs like me (cats, too) when we need emergency care. When caring humans like you help, we don’t have to suffer and die when bad things happen to us.
Actually, I am getting better and BETTER!...

Old Dogs Are The Most Experienced At Love - Love Them Back! 28th Oct 2019, by Soi Dog Foundation
In Thailand, countless elderly dogs have lived on the streets their whole lives. Please go to https://bit.ly/A_Home_For_Senior_Dogs to help them.
As these dogs age, they develop health problems. Some are blind, some have trouble walking. Others simply can't cope with the daily fight for survival.
At the Soi Dog Foundation shelter, there are a few special enclosures dedicated to senior and special needs dogs, such as the one in this video. More are urgently needed to help some of the most vuln...

The Raw Deal Report (after 1 Month) 28th Oct 2019, by AnimalCare
I made the decision to convert all our cats to raw food on 27th September 2019. There is a lot of literature about the benefits of raw food for cats because cats are obligate carnivores. The literature says that converting your cat to a raw food diet is about the best thing you could do for your cat, nutrition-wise.
I had known about the benefits of raw food for a very long time now but was hesitant to do a full conversion for our cats because they are all geriatric and I thought it would be ver...

Who’s Afraid Of Fireworks? 28th Oct 2019, by AnimalCare
Whenever there are fireworks, it’s never good for the animals.
Bunny is not afraid of fireworks. With fireworks booming, he can still eat.
Indy is also not afraid of fireworks or thunderstorms. But Cleo is (that’s her hiding on the far right). But why is Cleo hiding there?
Because Cow took her basket.
Cow is very afraid of fireworks. He would be so scared that he won’t even eat.
Cleo: I’m not happy to be here.
Pole is terrified of fireworks so she is hiding unde...

Indy’s News 28th Oct 2019, by AnimalCare
With Bunny “down” with his eye injury, Indy started targeting Cow instead. I have had to break up a few war-crying posturing episodes between the two. Cow did not start them; Indy did.
Then, just now, Indy chased Cleo all over the garden to the room.
Maybe he is just playing, or maybe he has too much energy and needs to let off some steam.
Today’s stool report: Discovered blood-tinged soft stool at 8.20am. I don’t know if this was passed during the night, early morning or...
