A Stray Mother Cat Entered Dianas Home, One Of Our.. 12th May 2020, by SPCA Sarawak
A stray mother cat entered Diana’s home, one of our volunteers, a few weeks ago. The cat was surprisingly friendly. She didn’t show any signs of hostility when Diana stroked her head. Our volunteer observed that the friendly feline didn’t have any unkempt fur and the cat was pregnant.
The cat then went her neighbour’s place, and gave birth to 4 beautiful kittens. Diana went over and brought the mother cat and her kittens back to her place. The mother and her 4 kittens are healthy and s...

A Big Thank You To Our Terrapin Adopters. Each Tim.. 12th May 2020, by Turtle Conservation Society of Malaysia
A big THANK YOU to our terrapin adopters!
Each time you adopt a terrapin, you're helping us purchase a microchip. (Instead of giving our terrapins names, we give them a phone number, how cool is that?)
We'll insert a microchip into the terrapins before we release them into the river, so that when they return to nest (insyaAllah), we will be able to identify the individuals!
To symbolically adopt a terrapin, visit https://www.turtleconservationsociety.org.my/terra pin-adoption/

The Big Indy-Ginger Fight (guess Who Won…again?) 11th May 2020, by AnimalCare
Indy has been acting up for the past week or so with (1) his lightning-speed escapes from Bunny’s Room to the patio and (2) his constant war-cries on Bunny.
So this afternoon, I heard his war cries, but remember he was at the patio. I thought he was war-crying on Bunny on the patio side of the Stargate, so Bunny would be safe. I did go in to check and Bunny was perfectly alright.
Little did I know (silly me!) that Indy was war-crying on Ginger. I thought Ginger was inside the house. You se...

Ever Since We Started Working Together With Clelia.. 11th May 2020, by TNRM Malaysia
Ever since we started working together with clelia catching and neutering the cats at her residency near PWTC in KL. All the cats were neutered and the number is kept at a stand still, thus, the management is ok with it. Clelia has also rescued and rehomed the cats and kittens there. A good example to follow. Lately came 2 new comers ( one male and one female ), the female came in heat during this MCO and most probably in her early pregnancy. It’s time to spay her. This afternoon we went over ...

Our Animal Rescue Officer Working The Night Shift,.. 11th May 2020, by SPCA Singapore
Our animal rescue officer working the night shift, responded to a call last week regarding a community cat after its regular caregiver noticed something off about him.
When our officers arrived on the scene, they found the 8-year-old hiding beneath a car. The cat was noticeably frail, sickly and had a wound on his face. It took our officer some coaxing to put the cat at ease before he took hold of the feline. The cat was then rushed to a private vet clinic and was brought back to SPCA for foll...

Go Cage-Free. Most Egg-Laying Hens Live Their Enti.. 11th May 2020, by SPCA Selangor
GO CAGE-FREE!
• Most egg-laying hens live their entire lives in battery cages smaller than a letter-sized piece of paper!
• Caged hens cannot spread their wings or engage in natural behavior such as nesting, perching, or dustbathing.
Why Cage-Free?
✅ Cage-free hens are able to walk, spread their wings, socialize with other hens, perch, dust-bathe and lay their eggs in nests.
✅ Cage-free and free-range farms are imperfect but are still an improvement from cages!
✅ Many egg produce...
