2020 Was A Bumper Year For The Hawksbill Turtles I..

2020 was a bumper year for the Hawksbill turtles in Melaka. A historic 807 nests were successfully protected, especially in key nesting beaches such as Padang Kemunting, Kem Terendak, Tanjung Dahan, Tanjung Serai, and Meriam Patah, smashing the previous high of 600 nests in 2018.
This milestone was reached against the odds despite the COVID-19 pandemic affecting our monitoring work on the ground. We could not have done this without our generous supporters – thanks a million.

This is sweet Concodia, a real ball of energy!! 😸🐾 A few weeks ago, Concodia was found with part of his left front leg missing, limping and struggling to walk on the side of the road. All by himself, without anyone to look after him... His wound had purulent discharge and necrotic tissue was forming around it. Concodia was all alone and couldn't fend for himself... He was rescued by a local animal lover just like you, and brought to safety at our shelter.

Yamo was brought to Soi Dog in 2019 after our community outreach team found her jaundiced and weak at a local government dog pound. Now, she’s living the #furrytailending she always dreamed of!

This is a story of courage and strength... Yhang-yhang was caught in a snare wire while pregnant and gave birth to her kittens while already in terrible pain. Not only did she have to give birth while her back leg was all wrapped in a metal wire, but also the umbilical cord that attached her to the kittens ended up being partially caught in the wire... 😱💔
Luckily, Yhang-yhang was found just as she was giving birth and she was rushed to our shelter where we removed the metal wire and save...
