Firefighters Rescue Cat Stranded By Flood In China

This cat got trapped on a post after a massive flood ravaged Qingyuan in Guangdong Province, China on June 22.
Firefighters posted the video with the caption, ‘Hold on, come to save you right away! Every life deserves to be treated with warmth.’
The disaster was described as a ‘once-in-a-century-flood.’, affecting nearly 500,000 people.

Our first ever university collaboration has been a huge success! Universiti Teknologi Petronas held its very first Plant-Based Campaign from 2-5 June 2022 together with SPCA Selangor, organized by the UTP Go Green Movement and also in celebration of World Environment Day.

Do you remember Nimnim?
A victim of terrible cruelty, Nimnim came to us in late 2020 with an elastic band around her mouth which made it impossible for her to eat, drink or even bark for help. She was just eight weeks old at the time.😢
Thanks to your support, Nimnim got the treatment, care and affection she deserved. The band may have left a permanent scar around her muzzle, but it didn't dent her spirit!

Sadly, things recently took a turn for the worse when she was bitten by another dog, causing a bad wound to her back. Without medical intervention, the wound worsened and soon became infested with maggots.

Boonrod means “survivor” in Thai, and when you hear his story, you’ll understand how he earnt his name.
Boonrod was found cowering in a cage in the corner of a dog slaughterhouse in 2014. His legs were bound together, and he was mere minutes away from being slaughtered.
Acting on a tip-off, Thai police and Soi Dog undercover investigators raided the premises just in time, arresting the butcher and freeing Boonrod from an unthinkable fate.
