THANKS TO YOU – WINTER SHELTERS BEING ERECTED AT DOG POUND

Imagine if you had to choose between the risk of dogs being crushed to death or freezing to death. What would you do? Those are exactly the choices that stood before volunteers at the Gladno Polje dog pound…until we came along.

Recently we told you about the dangers of an imminent roof collapse at this public shelter in Bosnia. Volunteers were terrified as the rotting roof could not possibly hold the weight of the upcoming winter snow yet they had no other shelter for many of the dogs. Could they leave them to sleep outdoors in the open air – in wind and snow?

Thanks to our AMAZING supporters, the dogs will now be safe this winter. Construction trailers were purchased in kits and are being built by the very hard working volunteers on the ground. We are promised that every single dog will have a roof over their head this winter.
