A Special Day For Gitano ✨

You might be wondering why this video clip is so important to us… here is a bit of background on this sweet boy. His name is Gitano and you might remember him from November 2021, when he first arrived at our shelter. He was the victim of a double act of cruelty: he was caught in a snare trap and was also shot. The wire caused a deep wound on his leg and the bullet was stuck very close to his heart, too close to be removed. You can only imagine how terrified Gitano was when we first met him… 😥

Well, today, after months and months of loving care and after losing his injured leg, Gitano had his very first shower. Just until a few weeks ago, Gitano wouldn’t let anyone approach him or touch him, but thanks to the hardwork of our behaviour team and to your kind support, he is making progress every day 😍. Gitano has come such a long way since last year, and we couldn’t be any more proud of him. It is only thanks to animal lovers like you that we can continue to do our work and improve the lives of injured and abused dogs like him.
