Did You Hear The News? With Your Support, Soi Dog ..

Did you hear the news? With your support, Soi Dog has reached the milestone of having neutered and vaccinated 750,000 stray dogs and cats since 2003. Three quarters of a million! 🤯

In the video below, Dr. Oob, Dr. Nat and Dr. Muk speak about their experience of working on the front line as part of our CNVR (Catch, Neuter, Vaccinate, Return) programme, the largest of its kind in the world.

CNVR may not be the most immediately impactful of our programmes. Progress is steady and, unlike rescuing and treating a sick animal, it takes time to reap the rewards and truly see the benefit. But it is the backbone of our work and the most crucial programme we have when it comes to ending the suffering of homeless animals.

A simple surgery prevents the birth of unwanted litters, a simple vaccination stems the spread of disease and, together, they enhance quality of life and help create harmony between humans and animals in the community.

One impact of the programme that we are particularly proud of is the steep reduction in rabies cases we are seeing in Thailand. In fact, the province of Phuket, where our shelter is located, has been recognised as entirely rabies free – such is the power of vaccination.

Please stay with us and help us reach the next milestone of a million animals neutered and vaccinated before 2024: https://links.soidog.org/road-to-a-million
