Dina managed to rescue 2 adult cats and 4 kittens due to be euthanised at the DBKL pound.

Rachel and Jamie adopted two:

These are Jelly and Bean.

However, the adopted kittens were found to be unwell.  They started vomiting and had diarrhoea.  One of them was diagnosed with parvo virus.

Dina wrote and I offered the assistance of our vets, but due to geographical convenience, Dina had to take them to the nearest vet.

Jelly and Bean are currently under the care of Dina again.

We are subsidising their medical treatment at the vet's.

Dina's updates:

Thank you for the direction map.. I manage to take the kittens at abt 4pm on tuesday to the vet's. Their condition is bad, bean the black & white patch vomitted worms. The vet said it's probably because there's too many worms in the stomach it comes out from his mouth..

They were de-wormed and given frontline spray for their fleas. No blood test was done.

They have to be constantly monitored as Jelly cannot swallow at all so he has to be forcefeed. Bean can eat on his own.. I bought 2 cans of A/D diet to feed them with the antibiotics. & Jelly vomitted it all out almost immediately..

The vet said if they survived in two weeks time, then they have to be de-wormed again..

Wednesday, Jelly seems a bit more alert but still need to be fed with the syringe..

Attached is pix of them in the vet and the bill charges.. I'm still waiting for Ida to get back to me with answers from the adopter.. If he can't monitor their condition constantly then they will stay with me for a bit longer. Atleast until Jelly can eat on his own.. OR maybe I need to find another adopter who has experience is taking care of sick cats..

Thank you so much for your help Dr Chan

Regards
Dina

Jelly and Bean's medical treatment is subsidised from our funds.

Updates from Dina this morning:

Both Jelly & Bean are doing so much better. Jelly can finally eat on his own although only a little and Bean is finally free of diarrhea I can say.. Yeay!! Jelly likes to drink in water in my garden instead of the one I put in their cage.. So I put a bowl of water in the garden and let them out every morning & evening and he will drink so much for that bowl.. They even responded to their names.. I left them out for a bit in the garden yesterday and when I came to the front porch they were no where in sight.. I called out their names and out they came from under my car!! I will take a pix of them again, especially Jelly drinking in the garden.. Bean likes to follow everywhere I go.. but I still have to keep them in a cage as the vet said to separate them from the rest..

Hmm and I'm thinking HOW TO GIVE THEM AWAY NOW?!!!

Nitha has been very helpfull, she calls to ask how the kitties are doing and said I could take them to her vet.. I just might do that for their 2nd check-up as her vet is much cheaper..

Thank you so much dr chan

Great work, Dina!

Get well soon, Jelly and Bean.

We're rooting for you both!

If you've survived DBKL, you have to survive this!
