Dear all,

There has been overwhelming requests for spay-neuter ever since Petfinder's Carnival, and we are happy to be able to help many new rescuers.

I was at our panel vet today to settle the payment of recent cases, and this is a request from our panel vet:

For all who bring in animals for spay-neuter, PLEASE ensure that your animal has been fasted for 8 hours BEFORE you bring them to the clinic.

Please do not trap and bring them in immediately as the clinic does not want to risk having your animal contract any diseases from the clinic.  This risk has to be reduced as much as possible.

We do not cover boarding for spay-neuter cases UNLESS there are complications and there is a need to do so.

Please do not insist on boarding and ask the clinic to put it under our bill.  We've had two such cases now.

If you require boarding, please make your own arrangements with the clinic.

As the caregiver, you also have to be present as the vet examines your animal.  The vet requires information about the animal from you.  Please do not leave the animal at the vet's and go off.

We need to take responsibility for these animals if we truly wish to help them.

We are here to help and would appreciate very much if you could kindly respect the policies of our panel vets.  The policies are put in place to ensure that the wellbeing of the animals is taken care of.

Thank you for your kind understanding.
