We have fully sponsored RM40 for the neutering of Duan Duan, the male cat (done at the government clinic) and subsidised RM20 for the vaccination of Girl, the female cat.

Dear Dr. Chan, I’ve sent the reimbursement form and receipts to you yesterday, and I really hope AnimalCare will be able to help. Below is the short write up:
Duan Duan and Girl are both resident cats in my UM hostel. Duan Duan had a rough life since kittenhood, he had an accident which resulted in much suffering and the eventual surgical removal of his maggot-infested tail. Fortunately AnimalCare was able to provide financial help as the surgery was quite costly. He has since recovered. However, recently he kept getting into fights with other male cats, and had abscesses and wounds as a result. So I decided to neuter him, so that he wont fight, as well as reproduce.
As for Girl, she had a litter of kittens in my hostel, but before I could find people to adopt them they were removed by students or staff, I don’t know. All I know is that the staff are not cat-friendly and has been removing cats from the hostel and when I ask they do not want to divulge the details. I intend to spay Girl as well, could not do it the same time as Duan Duan because the clinic requires prior appointments for females. However I got her vaccinated and will arrange for her spaying soon. I really hope AnimalCare is able to help with the cost as I hope to continue helping stray animals as much as I can.
