EXCITEMENT GROWS OVER MISSIOIN TO HELP THE DOGS, WE CAN’T SLEEP!

The Harmony Fund charity is unleashing a giant mission for the animals in Romania. Our team can’t sleep at night as we hope and plan for all that can be done to help thousands of dogs and cats in shelters here. Before you read about the urgent needs below, please keep in mind that we promise to make big changes here. All we ask for is a little bit of help from our friends:

�FREEZING: Frigid snow and wind assault hundreds of dogs in open shelters where giant holes in the roof and walls make buildings useless in keeping them warm. Day and night, week after week, the dogs are exposed to bitter cold and volunteers are powerless to warm them.

�DROWNING: Some of the dogs are sleeping in kennels that flood with water under melting snow in the spring and the dogs can’t lie down to sleep without drowning.

�CATS CAN�T ESCAPE SNOW: Some of the cats are living in sheds with rooves that open up to the stars because there has been no money for repairs. The cats are wet and cold all winter, with snow falling on them while they huddle together, and this causes chronic respiratory infections

�NOT ENOUGH FOOD: Some of the shelters do not enough food to go around. When they run low on kibble, volunteers try to cook noodles for the dogs but this causes fighting and the dogs injure each other in their overwhelming hunger. The smaller and weaker dogs are left with nothing.

The Harmony Fund’s mission begins with not just one, but TWO tractor trailer trucks bursting with supplies to be distributed to more than a dozen animal shelters. In July, we will bring in dozens of volunteers and massive supplies to repair the shelters. No more missing walls. No more giant holes in the rooves. No more fighting over food.

It’s time that we give these animals all the things they need to be warm, safe, dry and well-fed during the cruel Romanian winter. And naturally, we’re also providing veterinary care and spay/neuter. The Harmony Fund (USA) is a registered charity and a full 90% of our expenses go directly to animal rescue & humane education.
