A huge thank you to everyone who supported Sabrina in todays marathon! Thanks to you, she managed to reach her fundraising target of $500 for Singapores macaques! Herea special message from Sabrina:

I completed my first full marathon 42km today via Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore 2013. It feels great to be able to use running as a portal to raise awareness on the plight of the Long Tailed Macaques, here in Singapore.

Running a marathon is symbolic of life and though it was a physically and mentally challenging, I braved through the pain as I was running for a cause and there was no excuse to give up To save the Singapore Monkeys. Every km was dedicated for the monkeys. This was my first time in attempting to raise funds for a cause I am dedicated to. Receiving a notification on my phone after I completed my marathon this morning made the whole experience worthwhile. I managed to hit 100% of my targeted amount to raise.

This marathon will always be a memorable one as it marks the start of a new chapter: raising awareness on the plight of the monkeys. But most importantly, I wouldnt be able to cross the finishing line and raise the targeted amount without the support of my colleagues from ACRES, my friends and YOU for sparing a your time to find out about the cause, helping to share the donation link and spreading the word. A special shout out to all the DONOURS: Heartfelt thank you from me to you. If the monkeys could speak, they would say the same thing too! Your contributions will go a long way in assisting the Macaque Rescue Team with the funds needed to run a 7-day week macaque rescue / calls.
