Suzzie, Victim Of An Illegal Snare.
Many of you will remember the story of Suzzie, a young long-tailed macaque who suffered multiple fractures to her left arm and lost four of her fingers after getting caught in an illegal snare in Sembawang Park.
Following two major surgical procedures and four months of intensive rehabilitation at the Animal Recover Veterinary Centre (ARVC), Suzzie was returned to her home back in the wild early last year and was re-united with her family.
A year later, we have found her with her family, emerging to become a beautiful young female macaque! Heres a look back at her when she was undergoing rehabilitation.
