Blankets Sold (by Donation) At Pet Fiesta 2016 And Feedback On The Fire Monkey Blankie

Here are the blankets sold (by donation) at Pet Fiesta 2016.

Cat breeds was bought by Koo for RM150.
Koo says he likes the size as this blanket is BIG.

The Cat Breeds cloth and the brown cloth are contributed by Agnes Cheong.

Jungle Book 1 was bought by a supporter for RM150.

The Jungle Book cloth is contributed by the anonymous donor from Penang.

I used our own cloth to make the trimmings at the sides, so that’s where the patchwork is.

Blue Delight was bought by another supporter for RM150.

All cloth contributed by Tabs, design by the PatioCats.

Yellow Hello Kitty was bought for RM150 by our friendly neighbour from the opposite booth, GinGin Homemade treats. They were very supportive of our work too and bought tshirts for the whole family. We are deeply touched and grateful.

All cloth contributed by Tabs. The side sashing cloth in the finished blanket is from Mrs Ho.

The backing cloth for the above blankets is contributed by Agnes Cheong.

On another note, our big king size Fire Monkey was sold for RM1000 and it’s finally collected with this message for us:

I finally pick up the blanket. It’s really beautiful! I usually don’t go for red but I think the time is right as I need the confidence… It is said for those who does not like the colour red will give confidence… Need it to move forward after a period full of doubts..if I am doing the right thing. Guess Boy Boy is sending a message that it is timely I get this blanket to honour his courage and bravery in fighting for his life  up to the end.. He is transferring his courage to us who he left behind…Thanks so much for everything.

I’m deeply touched that the Fire Monkey blanket brings hope and happy memories to our kind donor. And I’m glad that she likes the blanket so much.

When it comes to sewing blankets, it’s hard to please everyone. But I’m really glad someone somewhere out there will eventually pick up our blankets happily. Maybe the colour is right, the design is right or the size is right. Something is right, somehow.
