THE STORY OF HOPE

Don’t ever give up on an animal. Just look at this sweetheart who was rescued from a Bosnian pound where she was not only suffering emotionally, but also in poor health with serious skin conditions demodex and pyoderma.

“There is distemper infection in that Shelter and I am scared for her life” local rescuer Ana Karmelic said when she first reached out to us for help. .

At first, the dog pound would not agree to release this dog, but Ana refused to give up. She persisted. She named the dog Hope and would not rest until she was free.

“I will take her, I won’t give up,” Ana told us a couple months ago when we were coordinating the rescue. “I promise I will take Hope to safety.”

Today Hope is a happy and healthy dog who enjoys playing outdoors with other dogs in the rescue program. .It has been an honor to assist in her rescue.

Although so much of our work focuses on saving large numbers of animals, we hope this story of one will help show the intensity of the light and love that shine through to a single animal in need, each and every time our supporters help.
