These Are The Pictures You Hardly See On Instagram..

These are the pictures you hardly see on Instagram, YouTube and online classified advertisements. One that speaks of truth.

With their doleful eyes and tiny mouths crunching on apple slices, videos and photos of hedgehogs, slow lorises and sugar gliders take over the internet.

But what happens when you do get one – are you ready for the illegal pet trade?

Will you be responsible for their poaching; their stress of being removed from their natural habitat and mishandled; the pain of being drugged, not able to breathe comfortably, or having their teeth extracted inappropriately?

Ready to keep a poop machine in your house?

To clean up after them and monitor their health and mental conditions for the rest of their lives? Probably not.

Then comes the probability of releasing this animal in a strange land foreign to these #sentientbeings, one filled with people, lights, new foods, new predators, moving vehicles and unfamiliar climate.

More often than not, these #abandoned animals die far, far away from home.

Be the voice for this little one who’s fighting to stay alive. And for all the other victims of the pet trade, please #SayNoToWildlifeTrade because rightfully, #WildAnimalsBelongInTheWild.
