Little Pearl’s (小珍猪) Story

Doesn’t it just break your heart to see Little Pearl curled up all alone in a latrine cubicle?

Little Pearl, a wild piglet, strayed a little too far from her parents. But no one can blame her because it rained like crazy that night. With the winds shrieking, thunders barking up a riot and the lightning that further blinds our vision at night, Little Pearl must have been disorientated and scared.

And so Little Pearl spent the night recovering in the toilets of a country club- possibly wishing she was a little older so she could have run faster to keep up with her family.

The next morning, the kind staff at the country club patiently waited for our 24-hour wildlife rescue team, and the road back home for Little Pearl began.

You see, it might be Mother’s Day today. A day that honours the love and compassion, guidance and nurturing, alongside sacrifices and worry.

Possibly the emotions you felt when you saw helpless Little Pearl in the photo.

Every little being, whether lost and alone or weak and tired, need a compassion and nurturing hand.
